Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17.10.2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information AI Presentation Maker ("we", "us") collects when you use our Chrome extension and related services (the "Services"), how we use it, and your choices. By using the Services you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Information We Collect

1. Content you submit. The text you type, the text extracted from documents you upload (PDF, DOCX), and your uploaded images. Documents are read in your browser; the extracted text and images are sent to our server to generate your presentation. We do not store the generated PowerPoint file.

2. Sign-in and account information. If you choose to subscribe, you sign in with Google. We receive your verified email address and a Google account identifier. We request only the openid and email scopes, never your contacts, files or other Google data.

3. Payment information. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as merchant of record. We never see or store your card details. We store your subscription status, the billing period, and Dodo customer and subscription identifiers.

4. Usage and technical information.
  • A random installation ID generated by the extension and kept in your browser's extension storage.
  • Usage events such as opening the extension, adding files, generating a presentation, hitting a limit, seeing the upgrade screen, uninstalling, and whether a generation succeeded or failed.
  • Usage counters, selected template and language.
  • Your IP address, used to determine your country (see "How We Use Your Information") and for abuse prevention. We store your country code, not your full IP address.
5. Presentation records. For each presentation we keep metadata: file name, template, slide count, file size, creation time, the names of attached files, and a short excerpt of your input text (up to 1,000 characters).

6. Feedback. If you rate a presentation or submit a report, we store your rating and any text you write.
How We Use Your Information
  • To generate your presentation and deliver it to you.
  • To enforce usage limits and our free and paid plans. This includes using your country (from your IP) to decide whether the free-plan limits apply to you.
  • To verify who you are when you subscribe, restore your subscription, and process payments.
  • To understand how the extension is used, find and fix errors, and improve the product.
  • To prevent abuse and to comply with the law.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

Who We Share Information With

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Services:
  • AI providers (Google Gemini and/or OpenAI). The text of your input (including text extracted from documents) is sent to them to generate slide content. OpenAI is also used to check content against its moderation policy. Your uploaded images are not sent to the AI providers; they are attached to the presentation on our server.
  • Pexels. When a slide needs a stock photo we send search keywords derived from your content and download the matching photo. No account information is sent.
  • Google. For sign-in. We also use an IP geolocation service when needed to determine your country.
  • Dodo Payments. For subscriptions and billing. Your email is shared to create your checkout.
  • Hosting and database providers. Our server and database are hosted with third-party providers (Render, MongoDB).
  • Google Forms. If you uninstall the extension, you are shown an optional feedback form hosted by Google.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with law or protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or the Services.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We may share aggregated or de-identified data that does not identify you.

Google API Services User Data

AI Presentation Maker's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use your Google email only to identify your subscription and send billing-related information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide the Services (for example, to Dodo Payments) or as required by law.

How Long We Keep Information
  • Usage events: about 4 weeks.
  • Presentation records: about 60 days.
  • Install and uninstall counts: up to about 6 months.
  • Account and subscription records (installation ID, email, usage counters, subscription status): while you use the Services, and until you ask us to delete them.
  • Your content is processed to generate your presentation and is not kept beyond the short text excerpt and metadata described above.
Information may remain in backups for a limited additional time.

Your Choices and Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by emailing limbotools@gmail.com. Include your installation ID if you have it. You can also uninstall the extension at any time, and you can cancel a subscription through the link in your Dodo receipt email.

  • EEA/UK users: you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority.
  • California and other US state residents: you have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Our legal bases for processing (where applicable): performing our contract with you (generating presentations, subscriptions), our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, improving the Services), compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where required.
International Transfers

Our providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for transfers outside the EEA/UK.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Services are intended for users over 18 and are not directed at children under 13. If we learn we have collected a child's personal information, we will delete it.

Third-Party Services

Third-party services (Google, OpenAI, Pexels, Dodo Payments and others) have their own privacy policies, and their handling of your information is governed by those policies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy. We will post changes here and update the date above, and we will give notice where the law requires it.
